The Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme helps ensure people whose behaviour makes them unsuitable to work with children and protected adults cannot do 'regulated work' with these vulnerable groups. Elected members may be required to undergo a check through the PVG Scheme if they are members of a committee deemed to be doing regulated work.
